What is the difference between the r7 draw taylor made irons, and the regular r7 taylorm ade irons?

Draw irons will hit the ball slightly more to the right. This will help eliminate your slice (hitting the ball far to the left) if you have one. I wouldn't recommend draw irons, lessons are much better if you slice the ball

A Brief History of Taylor Guitars

Taylor Guitars got its official start in 1974 with its founders, Bob Taylor and Kurt Listug. However, the story begins much earlier than that in the 60s when popular music spurred by the Beatles got a lot of people itching to play the guitar. The founders were young then, but they started their love of the guitar at around this time.

Eventually, this itch led them to the purchase of a guitar shop with another friend, Steve Schemmer. The shop was modest, and information on the Taylor Guitars site reveals that it was less than ideal. They constantly dealt with water leaks and flooding. But, everyone needs to start somewhere! Their beginnings were rocky and difficult and that first workshop seems to signify that.

Together, the three operated this shop which was then called the Westland Music Company. Their original business idea had the company selling guitars and their parts, repairing them, building them etc. They also decided to call their guitar line Taylors after Bob Taylor, the accomplished luthier of the group. Thus, the long process of trying to run a company and make top notch guitars begins in this little shop.

Long story short, they were eventually successful at both. Now, their company employs over 300 people, all of which play different roles in the company. Kurt Listug is still heavily involved with the company as CEO. They are successful, and the Taylor Acoustic is considered amongst the best acoustic guitars and has achieved world wide renown.

They manufacture 14 different acoustic guitar styles, with multiple models within each category. These include the Bob Taylor, named for the head Luthier, the 100 through the 900 Series, the Presentation Series, the Nylon Series, the KOA Series, and the Walnut Series.

There are also plenty of artists who enjoy their Taylor Acoustic guitars. These include Chris Procter, Pat Kirtley, Artie Traum, Wayne Johnson, Leo Klottke, Babyface, Faith Hill, Billy Idol, Stephen King, Better than Ezra, and scores others. Taylor are considered a special guitar by there owners.

James Taylor Tickets

James Taylor - the eminent singer, songwriter, musician and performer of the 70s was born in Boston in 1948 and grew up in the university town of Chapel Hill, North Carolina. On summer with his family on Marthas Vineyard, he met fellow guitarist/songwriter Danny Kootch Kortchmar and began performing. He established himself and began writing songs during his stay.

Moving to New York, Taylor formed the Flying Machine with Kortchmar in 1966. After the spilt, he headed to London, where he lived for a year. After a demo tape, he got signed to the Beatles Apple Records by A&R man Peter Asher, who became his manager and producer. The debut album James Taylor (1968) contained Taylors classic Carolina in My Mind. Raised in North Carolina, James now lives in western Massachusetts. His warm baritone is among the most recognized voices in popular music and his guitar playing has established its own standard.

Throughout his long career, James Taylor has earned 40 gold, platinum and multi-platinum awards and 5 Grammy Awards for a catalog running from 1970's Sweet Baby James to his Grammy Award-winning efforts Hourglass (1997) and October Road (2002). Taylor's first Greatest Hits album got him the RIAA's elite Diamond Award, for sales in excess of 10 million units in the United States. For his achievements, James was honored with the 1998 Century Award, Billboard magazine's highest accolade, presented for illustrious creative achievement. In 2000, he was inducted into both the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame and the prestigious Songwriter's Hall of Fame. In February 2006, The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences chose James its MUSICARES Person of the Year.

His songs, "Fire and Rain," "Country Road," "Something in The Way She Moves," "Mexico," "Shower The People," "Your Smiling Face," "Carolina In My Mind," "Sweet Baby James," "Don't Let Me Be Lonely Tonight," "You Can Close Your Eyes," "Walking Man," "Never Die Young," "Shed A Little Light," "Copperline" etc. have had an insightful influence on both songwriters and music lovers of all generations and from all walks of life., James set an example for solo singer and songwriters as an inspirational recording and touring artist.

James released Sweet Baby James in 1970 which got triple-platinum and "Fire and Rain" reached the Top 10 hits. The same, another million-seller album was released, Mud Slide Slim and the Blue Horizon, giving the #1 single, "You've Got a Friend,". The recording won a Grammy Award in 1971 for Best Pop Male Vocal. In 1972, Taylor scored another Gold album with One Man Dog, which was followed up in 1973 with Walking Man.

The album Gorilla (1975) included two more major chart entries: "How Sweet It Is (To Be Loved By You)" and "Mexico." Following his final Warner Brothers recording, In The Pocket, James moved on to Columbia Records and released a series of critically-acclaimed and commercially successful albums: JT, his 1977 double-platinum debut, included a Top 10 cover of Jimmy Jones' "Handy Man," a song that gave Taylor another Grammy for Best Pop Male Vocal. Flag (1979), Dad Loves His Work (1981), That's Why I'm Here (1985), Never Die Young (1988), New Moon Shine (1991) and the double-disc Live album (1993), show Taylor's consistency: all were certified platinum.

Hourglass (1998) earned James his first Grammy Award for Best Pop Album, and October Road (2002), another Grammy winner, also enjoyed platinum sales.

A Taylor Made Burner Fairway Woods Review

A Look at Burner Woods, Drivers and Ladies Burner Golf Clubs

The TaylorMade Burner Fairway Wood produces a higher, longer and more accurate shot
from the fairway.

Taylormade now offers a complete line of Burner golf clubs. In addition to their several driver models, in the spring of 2007, they released a complete lined of Burner Fairway woods and hybrids. The fairway woods are a 3 wood with a 15° loft, a 5 wood with an 16° loft and
finally a 7 wood with a nice 21° loft.

There are several models, but the best for theaverage golfer is Burner Steel Fairway woods.
The steel club head is quite oversized for a fairway wood, but gives the golfer extra
forgiveness and, most importantly, the ability to launch the ball easily off the fairway or
light rough.

The light weight TaylorMade RE-AX® graphite shaft, complete with a nice light grip, helps promote a faster swing and additional club head speed. In fact TaylorMade claims the club's MOI (moment of inertia which relates to speed and power and can only be explained by a physics professor) is 30% higher than their earlier r7 steel woods. The burner shafts come in several different weights from a very light 49 gram shaft to a feathery 44 gram shaft and grip

The burner features are interesting and, like all golf club descriptions, a bit technical. So, what's in it for your average golfer to use a Burner fairway wood?

• It's easy to hit and its high trajectory results in more carry and distance.
• The large club head increases forgiveness if you strike the golf ball a little off center.
• The triangular head focuses weight and, again, increases the forgiveness factor.
• As mentioned, the really light graphic shafts increase swing speed and distance.

If you want a little more club and have the ability to handle a more powerful fairway wood, TaylorMade offers a TI (titanium head) model and the TP model for the PGA professionals and scratch golfers. The slightly different shape, more compact footprint and heavier shaft produce outstanding results for golfers that can handle these less forgiving golf clubs.

Before leaving our fairway woods, let's take a quick look at the TaylorMade Burner Rescue Hybrids. This very appropriately named club features "steel pull-face" construction for long accurate golf shots. However, the key benefit is the greatly increased forgiveness on miss hits and gets the golfer out of situations that could, in the past, destroy a, so far, decent round of golf.

The Taylor Made burner driver has been around for a while, but is always being improved. Off the tee, it's all about distance and that is what their "superfast technology" is all about. Basically, weight distribution, aerodynamic club head and lighter and more flexible shaft combine to produce a faster swing speed. This increases the ball speed and the result is a 5 iron to the green, rather than a three wood.

Like its fairway wood cousins, the Burner also comes in several different models. There is the Burner 460 model and of course the TP model for the touring pros.

The women's Burner models, both drivers and fairway woods offer the same benefits as the men's, but are designed for a woman's strength and swing. So far, the reviews have been quite favorable. Look for more detailed information in our ladies golf section.

The Burner's online reviews have also been glowing. While some rave about increased distance, others are more impressed with the club's accuracy. After all it's easier to hit the green from the middle of the fairway than behind a tree.
